YOUR SUPPORT
During a recent visit to British Columbia, Vladimir Tolstoy, the great, great grandson of Lev Tolstoy and the Director of Yasnaya Polyana, shared his vision of transforming Yasnaya Polyana into a self-sustainable island of spiritual contemplation that would not only represent Tolstoy's beliefs, but serve as a symbol of hope for the Russian people, and the thousands of others who visit Yasnaya Polyana from around the world. In light of the Centennial, every person of Doukhobor descent was encouraged to contribute $100 per family member, or $1 for every year they, their predecessors and descendants have had the good fortune to live in Canada. We thank all people, businesses and organizations who joined this effort to revitalize Yasnaya Polyana. They were united in a spirit of harmony, each according to their means.
